Day 1 – arrival johannesburg - hoedspruit

Private transfer to your lodge in the Greater Kruger region.

Activities:

Welcome drinks

Relaxation, pool time, sunset in the bush

Let the African wilderness begin to restore a sense of calm and connection

Day 2 – 3  Greater Kruger (Private Game Reserve)

Kapama River Lodge

Simbavati Hilltop Lodge

 

Activities:

Morning and sunset open vehicle game drives

Off-road tracking for close wildlife encounters

Guided bush walks in Big 5 territories (led by qualified rangers)

Night drives after dark, when park gates are closed to self-drivers

Exceptional wildlife photography opportunities in golden morning and evening light

Boma dinners under the stars

 

Expect close Big 5 sightings, fewer vehicles, and an immersive safari experience.

Day 4 – Transfer → Kruger National Park (Central Region)

Prime big cat territory (lion, cheetah, leopard)

Open plains offer exceptional visibility and photography conditions

 

Activities:

Afternoon self-drive safari

Optional guided sunset or night drives

Day 5 – full day satara region

Stay:

Kruger National Park

Satara Rest Camp

Excellent opportunities to spot and photograph lions, cheetahs, and other predators

 

This is your best opportunity for consistent big cat sightings.

Activities:

Early morning game drive for peak predator activity

Full-day safari exploring surrounding routes

Optional night drive

Day  6 – satara - Skukuza

Stay:

Kruger National Park

Skukuza Rest Camp

 

Why Skukuza:

Largest camp with full facilities

Located on the Sabie River with high wildlife density

 

Activities:

Scenic drive via Tshokwane picnic site

Wildlife viewing along river systems

Photographic stops along one of Kruger’s most active regions

Day 7 – Skukuza - lower sabie

Stay:

Kruger National Park

Lower Sabie Rest Camp

Why Lower Sabie:

One of the best wildlife regions in Kruger

Constant animal activity along the Sabie River

 

Activities:

Short transfer drive with frequent sightings

Sunset overlooking the river with exceptional photographic moments

Day 8 – 9 Full Day Lower Sabie region

A day focused on slow travel, observation, and appreciating the rhythm of the wild.

High probability of spotting leopard, rhino, elephant, and large buffalo herds

Activities:

Sunrise safari along river roads

Explore Crocodile Bridge region

Optional guided drive

Day 10 – return to hoedspruit

Stay:

Ukuthula Bush Lodge (or similar boutique lodge)

Activities:

Optional spa experience or relaxation at lodge

Time to unwind after your safari journey

 

Optional short bush experience

 

Day 11 – Departure

Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Hoedspruit, taking in the last sights and sounds of the African Wilderness. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your onward journey.
